We design our software with our end users in mind: individual researchers, teachers and students - installing, and running the software on their own computers. We do not recommend complex IT installations such as "roaming profiles", and the use of such a scheme is at your own risk. However, we would provide the following advice:-
The product should be installed on each local machine on which it will be used.
If the product has a multi-user licence, the product should be installed by a user with:
a local machine account
(not a Roaming Profile account);
permission to install software on that machine
(i.e., the user should be a local machine administrator).
It is not recommended that Roaming Profile users with single-user licences attempt to install CrystalMaker Software products. If they do so, however, they must have administrator privileges.
The same version of the product must be installed on all machines. Otherwise user information is liable to become corrupted, rendering the software unstable or unusable. We accept no responsibility for cleaning up the aftermath.
Products must be uninstalled by the user who originally installed them, logged onto the same account that was used for the installation.
IT personnel who wish to install CrystalMaker Software products for large numbers of computers remotely should contact CrystalMaker Technical Support for assistance. (Please note that technical support is not available for unregistered users, or users with legacy software products.)
